Krone is the market leader for swap bodies, featuring a rigid chassis and bodywork with either sliding tarpaulin or closed van, equipped with steel rear doors. The trailers are specially engineered for this application, fitted with 2 axles (front/rear or central tandem), and offer loading heights at the chassis for standard or high-volume boxes (with lowered chassis). The swap bodies can be made of steel, optionally with double-deck loading on 2 levels, and various load securing systems.
It is also available in refrigerated version, with sandwich panels and an independent refrigeration unit, or with 30 mm sandwich panels for fresh products. The tarpaulin swap bodies have a sliding roof, mobile side posts, and a MultiLock floor frame. For long goods, the ideal solution is the 13.6 m long sliding tarpaulin swap body.
