Privacy Notice

Notice regarding the processing of personal data on the ctetrailers.ro website. This notice explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, to whom we disclose it, how long we keep it, and what rights you have. It is complemented by the Cookie Policy.

1. Who We Are

CTE Trailers SRL, a company registered in Romania, represents on the Romanian market 10 major renowned European manufacturers of specialized commercial vehicles, semi-trailers, superstructures, and cranes. For all products sold, we provide after-sales services: warranty and post-warranty repairs, as well as the sale of original spare parts.

For the purposes of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), CTE Trailers SRL is the controller of personal data. The data protection officer can be contacted at gdpr@ctetrailers.ro.

2. What Personal Data We Process

We only collect data that you provide via the website forms or data resulting from your use of the site:

  • Contact forms, request for offer, spare parts, bodyworks, financing, trade-in, and service appointment: your name and surname, company (optional), county, city or address, country, email, phone number, and your message. Depending on the form, also vehicle information: make and model, year of manufacture, mileage, preferred date for service.
  • Job application form: name and surname, email, phone number, and address.
  • Newsletter: email address, together with the region and language you used on the site.
  • Technical usage data: IP address and browser information, processed for site security and to protect forms from bots, as well as cookies described in the Cookie Policy.

3. Why We Need Them and On What Grounds

  • To respond to your requests: we use your name, email, and phone number to reply to messages sent via forms; we will contact you by phone if we cannot reach you by email. The company name helps us identify potential business opportunities. Grounds: pre-contractual steps at your request and our legitimate interest in responding to requests.
  • To send you the newsletter: only if you subscribe. Grounds: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time via the unsubscribe link in each email.
  • For recruitment: the data from the job application form is used to contact you in relation to the position you applied for. Grounds: pre-contractual steps at your request.
  • For site security: technical data is used to protect the site from abusive traffic and the forms from spam. Grounds: our legitimate interest.
  • For statistics and marketing: only with your consent given in the cookie window, in accordance with the Cookie Policy.

4. What We Do with the Data and to Whom We Disclose It

Your data is processed by CTE Trailers SRL in Romania. Messages sent via forms are stored in the website administration system and sent by email to the responsible department (sales, service, spare parts, bodyworks, or human resources) so we can respond to you.

We use the following providers, acting as processors or independent controllers, as applicable:

  • Our newsletter platform, which manages the subscriber list and sends emails.
  • Google reCAPTCHA, which checks you’re not a robot when submitting forms; Google processes the IP address and browser data for this purpose, according to Google’s Privacy Policy.
  • Cloudflare, which protects the site from malicious traffic, according to Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.
  • Statistics and marketing service providers, described in the Cookie Policy, only if you have consented to these categories of cookies.

We do not sell your personal data and do not disclose it to other third parties unless required by law.

5. How Long We Keep the Data

  • Requests submitted via forms are archived as business communications and deleted after one year if they do not result in a business relationship.
  • Newsletter data is kept as long as the newsletter is active or until you unsubscribe; afterwards, it is permanently deleted.
  • Applicants’ data is kept for the duration of the recruitment process for the respective position.
  • The lifespans of cookies are indicated in the Cookie Policy.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you, rectification or deletion of your data, restriction of processing, the right to object to processing, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of the processing carried out before withdrawal.

7. Updates to This Notice

This notice is reviewed periodically and updated whenever we change how we process data. This version is valid from September 2026.
