CTE Trailers Team Building 2024

08.10.2024

At the end of September 2024, the CTE Trailers team had the opportunity to step away from daily routines and focus on what truly unites us: shared goals and the desire to grow together. This team building was an excellent occasion to strengthen team cohesion, emphasizing sharing expectations stemming from business needs, as well as those arising from the wish to collaborate and pursue continuous improvement.

The main theme of the event centered on building cohesion and facilitating open dialogue between team members, giving everyone a chance to express their expectations both professionally, and on a personal level. In the first part of the event, we took part in a series of interactive activities designed to build trust and encourage cross-departmental collaboration. These exercises helped to foster a sense of unity and laid the foundation for a better understanding of each member’s roles and responsibilities.

A key session focused on reflection and open discussion, where everyone could share what needs they see as essential for achieving our goals, and what wishes they have to feel fulfilled within the team. We explored the difference between what is necessary for us to perform at work and what we want for greater personal satisfaction. This distinction helped us clarify individual motivations and find common ground to support us in reaching our strategic objectives.

The outcome of these discussions was a shared commitment to align individual expectations with team goals, thus creating a more harmonious and productive work environment. This included identifying synergies between departments, improving understanding of the challenges faced by colleagues at different process stages, and creating a framework to reduce frustration and increase the level of empathy and collaboration.

In the second part of the day, the CTE team took on a unique challenge: the "FLOTA" team game. This involved collaboration between team members to build a functional vehicle using limited resources. Each team received a specific build theme, a fixed budget for purchasing materials, and two hours to work together and construct their vehicle. At the end of the work period, all teams participated in a relay challenge.

In conclusion, this team building was a success not only by strengthening collaborative relationships, but also by clarifying perceptions and expectations among various teams. We were able to boost our team cohesion, improve the way we collaborate, and strengthen our commitment to achieving common goals in a healthy and constructive work environment.
